Vancouver Youth Jazz Orchestra

Co-presented by the Coastal Jazz & Blues Society and the Vancouver Jazz Orchestra, this intensive program offers talented high school musicians (Grades 8-12) from the Lower Mainland the opportunity to work closely with a professional band director and members of the Vancouver Jazz Orchestra. Students will develop their musical skills, expand their professional networks, and gain valuable insight into preparing for a career in music. Through rehearsals and performances, professional musicians will mentor and perform alongside students, honouring the long-standing tradition of mentorship in jazz.
