DESCRIPTION:This performance is presented by Infidels Jazz\, with the support of the VJO Society. \n\n\n\nA legend of creative music and avant-garde jazz collaborates with two of Vancouver’s most exciting musicians. \n\n\n\nSaxophonist Ken Vandermark has been a cornerstone of the American avant-garde for over 30 years\, and is known for his collaborations with Joe McPhee\, Barry Guy\, Peter Brötzmann\, MIsha Mengelberg and more. \n\n\n\nOn October 24 he’ll be returning to Vancouver to perform with Kenton Loewen and James Meger\, two of Canada’s premier improvisers and creative instigators. \n\n\n\nThis performance is presented by Infidels Jazz and is part of VanJazz 2026.
